A hands-on lab in Vienna for young people aged 14 to 30 on spotting, questioning and countering disinformation, with a special focus on climate myths. It is part of the TRUTH4YOUTH project.
What the workshop is about
On the platforms young people use most, the line between entertainment, news, opinion and propaganda has become blurred. Over 80% of young Europeans see disinformation as a threat to democracy, yet only a minority feel confident in spotting it.
In the Living Lab you practise checking what you see online, talk about it with others and try out ways to respond, from questioning a claim to telling the story differently.
How our workshops work
Our thematic workshops are interactive, with short inputs, group work and discussions. Some are part of piloting our projects, others are stand-alone workshops on topics our members and volunteers suggest themselves.
Members and volunteers can also propose and run their own workshop with the support of our team.
Who can take part
The workshops are for young people aged 14 to 30 who are members of the EMOTiC community in Vienna. If you are not a member yet, you become one with a short email.
