(closed) Training Course: Work4Inclusion - Sanguedo, Portugal (16.05 t0 22.05)

This is an open call for applications for 3 participants (residents and citizens) from Austria between 20 and 35 years old for a fully-funded Training Course in Sanguedo, Portugal from 16.05 (arrival day) to 22.05 2022 (departure day).


A Training Course is a project where youth workers and youth leaders come together for several days to develop their competences (knowledge, skills, and attitudes) on a certain theme. The daily programme of the course is based on learning objectives and facilitated by experienced trainers. The training courses promote the initiative and creativity of participants and have a direct impact on their future youth work or youth policy activities, such as organising quality projects and providing intercultural and non-formal learning experiences for young people.


SUMMARY:

This call is particularly for the Training Course "Work4Inclusion" that will be implemented in Sanguedo, Portugal from Monday 16.05 (travel day) to Sunday 22.05 2022 (return day). This training brings together 32 youths from Austria, Portugal, Spain, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Estonia, Croatia, Turkey, and Italy. The main aim is to respond to the problem of social exclusion of young people, a global problem that generates serious effects both on young people and on society in general.


OBJECTIVES:

  • Promoting the training of Youth workers and leaders, so that they are able to adjust their interventions to the needs of young people, namely, giving them the opportunity to follow the work carried out in other organizations;

  • Increasing the response capacity of Youth workers and leaders and organizations, in order to reach more young people, especially those with fewer opportunities;

  • Increasing the recognition of youth work through non-formal and informal education, as an essential complement to formal education; and

  • Increasing European synergies in the youth sector, allowing for networking in the fight against the problems of today's young people, namely social exclusion.

PRACTICALITIES:

  1. If you are between 20 and 35 years old and live in Austria and would like to participate in this youth exchange, please send an email with a brief introduction about you and your motivation for participation in this youth exchange to emotic.org@gmail.com AS SOON AS POSSIBLE;

  2. Once accepted, you should fill in the application form and sign the participation agreement;

  3. Then you should buy your travel ticket in consultation with EMOTiC;

  4. When it is time for the activity, you will travel together with the rest of the group from Austria;

  5. The food and accommodation are fully covered. You will be staying in a shared room in a hotel. And the food will include all options.

  6. After your return, you will be refunded the cost of the travel ticket.
