This is a call for applications for 4 participants (residents and citizens) from Austria between 18 and 30 years old for a fully-funded Youth Exchange in Xàtiva (near Valencia), Spain from 16.09 (arrival day) to 23.09. 2022 (departure day).
A Youth Exchange is a meeting of groups of young people from different countries who gather for a short period to participate in a non-formal learning programme (a mix of workshops, exercises, debates, role-plays, simulations, outdoor activities, etc.). With the support of experienced youth workers, participants in a youth exchange can develop competences, become aware of socially relevant topics, discover new cultures, and strengthen values like solidarity, democracy, etc.
SUMMARY:
This call is particularly for the youth exchange "The Digital Shadow" that will be implemented in Xàtiva (near Valencia), Spain from Friday 16.09 (arrival day) to Friday 23.09. 2022 (departure day). This youth exchange brings together 26 youths from Austria, Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, France and Spain. The main aim is to reflect on the issue of social media's use and the risks of digital tools and how to protect ourselves digitally.
OBJECTIVES:
To learn what cybersecurity is and how to apply it;
To increase the cybersecurity capabilities of the young participants and target audiences of the youth exchange;
To increase the digital skills of the young participants to ensure that they can have access to better resources and tools with which to prevent threats;
To get to know 6 different cultures creating spaces for synergies that promote skills such as empathy, teamwork, and linguistics as the language of the project will be English.
PRACTICALITIES:
If you are between 18 and 30 years old and live in Austria and would like to participate in this youth exchange, please send an email with a brief introduction about you and your motivation for participation in this youth exchange to emotic.org@gmail.com AS SOON AS POSSIBLE;
Once accepted, you will transfer the administration fee of 30 Euros, then you should sign the participation agreement and fill in the application form;
Then you should buy your travel tickets in consultation with the EMOTiC team; you should arrive at Valencia airport before 14h on 16th Sep, and the return flight should be after 15h on the 23rd of Sept.
When it is time for the activity, you will travel together with the rest of the group from Austria;
The food and accommodation are fully covered. You will be staying in a shared room in a youth venue.
After your return, you will be refunded the cost of the travel ticket.
